Our Objectives

FAARD is committed to strengthening rural communities through sustainable agriculture, skill development, environmental conservation, and inclusive socio-economic growth.

• Improve the living standards of rural communities by promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities, self-employment, and entrepreneurship.
• Establish education and training institutions in rural areas to provide non-formal education, particularly for women and economically weaker sections, enabling them to develop entrepreneurial skills and self-reliance.
• Conserve natural resources such as land, water, forests, and biodiversity through scientific, technological, and community-based interventions.
• Promote and strengthen Self Help Groups (SHGs) and facilitate the establishment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by mobilizing support from government agencies, private organizations, and society.
• Improve farmers’ access to quality agricultural inputs, modern technologies, value addition, and better market opportunities for enhanced income generation.
• Conduct need-based training programmes, workshops, seminars, field demonstrations, exhibitions, and awareness campaigns to disseminate the latest agricultural technologies and best practices.
• Provide consultancy services in agriculture, livestock development, environmental management, hygiene, health, education, ICT, resource management, product quality improvement, and value addition for holistic rural development.
• Create ICT-enabled rural knowledge networks and build the capacity of educated rural youth through digital literacy, technical training, and employment-oriented skill development.
